"Whenever I do a job I'm really kind of learning how to act from scratch again, [especially] when I haven't done it for a year. I've kind of forgotten how to do it!" -Robert Pattinson, on starting new roles
"It's just so nice being in a supporting role. There was so much pressure on Taylor for this one, and it's like, he didn't have a single bad day the entire shoot. I just stroll onto set, I'm like, 'Oh, I've got one line!'" -Robert Pattinson, on his much smaller role in New Moon
"I kind of just tried to make him a little bit more aware of the irony of the situation…a 109-year-old who's in love with a 17-year-old who he's pretending to go to school with." -Robert Pattinson, on playing Edward
"Literally, that would be terrifying if I suddenly — well, actually, it wouldn't be terrifying, it would be quite satisfying, actually, to be able to get someone pregnant from across the country. With a text message!" -Robert Pattinson, on tabloid stories (specifically the Kristen Stewart pregnancy rumors)
"Because sometimes I look at myself in the mirror [Laughs] — I think anyone would be." -Robert Pattinson, on why he's disgusted with himself
"I just use water. No one ever believes me, but it's true." -Robert Pattinson, on the secret to his hair
"Kristen's a really great actress. I really like working with her, and she's very intense about things, and she'll go just as far as anyone else will want to go with it. If you want to go as deep as possible, into any form of material, she's more than willing to go there." -Robert Pattinson, on working with Kristen Stewart
"It's funny what you really see when you're the subject of the completely bizarre gossip magazine industry. It's just like, 'WHAT?!?' All this stuff with Emilie [de Ravin, his costar in Remember Me] as well. The tabloids say stuff like 'They went on a date to an Indian restaurant.' We were doing a scene! There's a film crew there!" -Robert Pattinson, on consistently being under the microscope
"I don't find myself that interesting as a human being, so I don't really think that much of what I say or do warrants being recorded." -Robert Pattinson, on doing interviews
"I might go to some tiny little town in Idaho with, like, three people living there." -Robert Pattinson, on where he's going next
"I'd just done with the GQ shoot, and I got it cut after that, on the shoot, and I just thought, Well, I've just done a GQ cover, I might as well get my hair cut." -Robert Pattinson, on why he shaved his head
“It wasn’t just the director that made this one different. ... It was so different as well because we kind of knew what type of animal that we were dealing. I was much more of a supporting role, in this one. It was actually one of the most relaxing jobs that I’ve ever done. Chris has a really peaceful presence and I got on really well with him.” -Robert Pattinson, on the filming of New Moon
“Aesthetically, it looks very different. The script was very different. It’s a completely different mood. So, I’m really interested to see how it works out.” -Robert Pattinson, on the filming of New Moon
“I think we’re the worst people to ask about it. The problem is that, when I looked at it, I never looked at it as a vampire story, right from the beginning. When I try to play it, I try to eliminate the vampire element, as much as I can, and just see it as a tool to make their relationship a little more fraught. Right after the audition, I found myself bizarrely invested in the story and I hadn’t even read the books, at that point. I’ve gotten more and more attached to it. I’ve been talking about the script for Eclipse to people, over the last few weeks, and I find myself getting very argumentative, which I’m not usually. They definitely have some kind of power.” -Robert Pattinson, on the 'vampire craze' that fuels the Twilight franchise
“Mainly because I like the juxtaposition. Edward is such a hyped character, and there are so many people looking at him like a romantic hero. In New Moon, the way that I read it anyway, he’s just so humbled. It’s a character who’s looking at Bella and thinking that he loves something too much, but he can’t be around. He deliberately starts breaking up their relationship, which I think is a very relatable thing that is very painful. And, in the fight sequence at the end, Bella ends up saving Edward, as she does in every single one of the books. It’s really funny how everyone looks at Edward as the hero, and he’s continuously saved by the damsel in distress. I think he really realizes that in New Moon. Eclipse is really him trying to catch up with Jacob because he’s so out of the loop and he can’t speak in superlatives anymore. He’s accepted being alive and he needs to catch up to Jacob.” -Robert Pattinson, on why New Moon is his favorite of the series
"When I first started [modeling] I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modeling career." -Robert Pattinson
"Up until I was 12, my sisters used to dress me up as a girl and introduce me as 'Claudia.' Twelve was a turning point, as I moved to a mixed school, and then I became cool and discovered hair gel." -Robert Pattinson
"They [Barnes Theatre Club] were a very good group, and for some reason when I finished the backstage thing, I just decided to that I should try to act. So I auditioned for Guys and Dolls and got a little tiny part as some Cuban dancer or something and then in the next play I got the lead part, and then I got my agent. So I owe everything to that little club." -Robert Pattinson
"I aspire to be Jack Nicholson. I love his every single mannerism. I used to try and be him in virtually everything I did, I don't know why. I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when I was about 13, and I dressed like him. I tried to do his accent. I did everything like him. I think it kind of stuck with me." -Robert Pattinson
"I went to one of these signing conventions [in 2006]. It was one of the most interesting experiences I've had. It was so strange that people would pay for autographs. You keep thinking you should do a little dance for them as well or something." -Robert Pattinson
"My favorite teacher was probably my English teacher because she got me into writing instead of just answering the question. I used to hand in homework with 20 pages of nonsense and she'd still mark it. She was a really amazing teacher." -Robert Pattinson
"I didn't want to get stuck in pretty, public school roles, or I knew I'd end up as some sort of caricature. Playing Dali has been a complete turning point for me. It's the first part I've had that has required really serious thought. I became completely obsessed with Dali during the filming, and I read every biography I could get a hold of. He was the most bizarre, complex man, but in the end I felt I could relate to him. He was basically incredibly shy." -Robert Pattinson
"I wasn't at all focused on school, and I didn't achieve much. But I've got a sense of urgency now. I feel I can't let any more time waste away." -Robert Pattinson
"This guy is totally swimming in a sea of vagina." -David Price, during an appearance on It's On With Alexa Chung (8/20/09)
"The guy must be attacked constantly by women, and I'm totally jealous. I would kill for that!" -David Price, during an appearance on It's On With Alexa Chung (8/20/09)
"Like Robert Pattinson, if I'm lucky. ... He always looks like he's going down a roller coaster." -Hugh Dancy, on what he would look like on a roller coaster during his appearance on It's On With Alexa Chung
